Desmond is a ROCKSTAR! Inspiring, positive, fun, motivating and pushing you just the right amount according to your fitness level. Just out of grad school and settling into a new city and job, I was out of my fitness routine. I first attended Desmond’s ab attack and rapid body fire classes at GE. They were fun and Desmond encouraged me to keep going with his “the mind quits before the body” mantra. Each class I felt stronger and was inspired to try harder the next time.  I also started personal training weekly with Desmond to focus on weightlifting. Desmond is very thorough and tailored exercises for my target areas. He also helped me get my nutrition back on track and held me accountable with his “what are you doing?!” voice in my head when I reached for something unhealthy. Desmond motivated me to get back to my athletic self and as a result I’ve regained my energy levels, am stronger and fit into my pre-grad school clothes again. I’ve since moved to Norwalk with GE and Desmond’s classes and his motivation are greatly missed!

I finally decided to get off my sofa in July of this year. I was out of shape, had no stamina and lacked the motivation needed to commit to anything long term, but I decided I would give boot camp a try.  It was the best decision I've made in a long time.  I personally feel that i look better and I feel better mentally, physically and emotionally.  Unbelievably I look forward to waking at 4:15am so that I can be there on time to get my "workout on."  I'll be honest though, it's not easy, but the class is not only motivating, but a lot of fun of as well.  There are still a lot of things that I can't do and give out during the workouts…a lot, but the thing I love about Coach (as I affectionately call him) is that he doesn't give up on you and he doesn't take excuses.  He's a true motivator and you believe you can give him "one more" because he believes that you can.

"First day of class with Desmond, can be described as Pushing it to your Limits! I came in thinking that it would be an easy cardiovascular class. Boy was I wrong!!! His class is a High Intensity Interval Training class, action packed with all the necessary exercises that concentrates on both upper body and lower body muscles, not to mention a constant core workout. Running out of breath by the end of the first 5 minutes is expected, which is what you want in order to keep that heart rate up!! Calorie burning efficiently and effectively! Plus Desmond is a wonderful instructor, no fuss, no over the top cheers, just the perfect "Give me one more" that gets you to do exactly just that! I will most certainly keep attending and also looking forward to a more personal training experience! Thank you Desmond!!
